Nalys is one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s oldest estates, it was mentioned as early as in a 17th Century village land survey. The spirit of Domaine de Nalys was instilled by its famous owner Doctor Philippe Dufays, between 1955 and 1976 and continues to this day. Domaine de Nalys basks in its superb location in the east of the Appellation, surrounded by vines at slight altitude with a splendid view of Mont Ventoux and the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Their Nalys Red is a superb example of the generous flavour of Grenache grapes when grown in the deep and rocky soil of this unique plateau. Nalys is a wine with a certain ‘heft’ but beautifully balanced and elegant at the same time.
