Italy

Italian wines are as diverse as the French – plentiful reds and delicious un-oaked whites. Italy is home to an exceptional wine culture and their product remains refreshingly affordable. The Italian wine market is crowded, fragmented and crazy and we see no change in the years ahead. If you require further supplier or product information, please contact your local RWM office.

Tenute Silvio Nardi
Veneto

In 1950, Silvio Nardi , father of the present owners, driven by his personal passion for wines, bought the Casale del Bosco Estate, located in Montalcino. In 1958 the first Casale del Bosco Brunello wine was released for sale (before the Brunello region was even classified). Subsequest land purchases in 1962 (the Manachiara Estate) and 1967 (the Bibbiano Estate) broadened the total holding (i.e. the ‘tenute’). By 1985 Emilia Nardi , Silvio’s youngest daughter, made her entrance in the company, taking over the management from her father in 1990. A large investment in the vineyards and the cellars has occurred since that time and today, Tenute Silvio Nardi with its 80 hectares of vineyards, is an untouched and beautiful territory.
